Farm Policy

By entering our farm, you agree to our Farm Policies below.

Payment

We accept cash and card payments only; no checks are accepted (except for payment of private group outings by reservation).

No Refunds

Due to the seasonal nature of our business, all sales are final. We cannot provide refunds for Christmas trees, attraction tickets, or any other items. Tickets are valid only for attractions and cannot be applied toward any other purchases. Attraction tickets do not expire—you may use them anytime during normal business hours when attractions are available!

Entry Fees & Ticket Sales

Entry to the Christmas Tree Farm is $10* per vehicle during the Christmas season in November and December. *You will receive a $10 credit toward your tree purchase.

Attraction tickets are sold separately at the cashier.

Reservations

We do not accept reservations during public business hours. Our Christmas Tree Farm operates on a first-come, first-served basis, including for entry, tickets, food vendors, and picnic tables. To avoid crowds, consider visiting on non-peak days and arriving early. Check our calendar for the most popular dates.

Parking

Please lock your vehicle and avoid leaving valuables in plain sight. Vehicles blocking traffic or other vehicles may be towed at your expense.

Minor Children

All minor children must be supervised by an adult at all times. Children must ride with an adult on the Hay Ride.

Food & Drink

No outside food or drink is allowed, except for those with special dietary needs. Food and drink vendors are available on weekends.

No alcohol is permitted on the premises.

Littering & Pets

Please help us keep the farm clean by using the trash receptacles provided. Streamers and confetti are not allowed.

Leashed pets are always welcome! We ask that you please pick up after your them, complementary doggie bags are available at the cashier booth. Well-behaved pets may ride with you on the hayride.

Photographers

Professional and amateur photography is by appointment only; fees apply. Please contact us directly to schedule photography sessions. Non-professional photos of your family are welcome, and we encourage you to support our small business with a purchase during your visit.

Crowd Photo Release

By entering Family Roots Tx Christmas Tree Farm, you consent to being photographed or filmed. We may use this media in any form without compensation to you.

We love to feature customer photos! Tag us on Facebook or Instagram (@FamilyRootsTx) or use #FamilyRootsTx for a chance to be featured on our website or social media.

Agritourism

WARNING: Under Texas Law (Chapter 75A, Civil Practice and Remedies Code), an agritourism entity is not liable for injury or death of an agritourism participant resulting from an agritourism activity.

Pedestrians

Please use designated walk areas and yield to hay rides. Always be aware of moving vehicles and do not cross areas marked. “NO PEDESTRIANS PAST THIS POINT.”

Hazards

Please be cautious of ants, animals, uneven ground, moving vehicles, sharp saw blades, splinters, and other farm hazards. Refrain from playing with saws, measuring sticks, or bamboo tree stakes. We are not responsible for injuries or lost, stolen, or damaged items.

Loading

We are happy to assist with loading Christmas trees or other merchandise, but we are not responsible for securing items to your vehicle or for any damage during loading. Ensure all items are secure before leaving the farm.

Christmas Tree Care

Please follow the instructions on the Tree Care sheet attached to your receipt. These tips are crucial for maintaining the longevity of your fresh tree. We are not responsible for trees once they leave the premises.

Tree Stands

We cannot install tree stands on-site, including those purchased from us. We recommend making a fresh cut on your tree upon arriving home to maximize its longevity. See our Tree Care page for more information. We do not offer tree drilling services.

Tree Flocking

We do not currently offer tree flocking services. Thank you for understanding as we focus on providing the best overall experience for our customers.

Power Saws

For safety reasons, no power saws are allowed on the farm. Hand saws and measuring sticks are provided for cutting your own Christmas tree.

No Smoking

Please refrain from smoking on our property to ensure the safety and comfort of all guests. The farm has dry grass and hay bales, which are highly flammable.
